Real Estate Advertising Tips

Are you advertising with video?

Google has expanded on their Universal Search options to include video-specific results.  This is bringing more eyeballs to videos from searches.  Oftentimes videos will even show up in Google's organic results without the need to click the video link.  We recently did a rental video marketing campaign for a client and within days were able to see results.  The video ranked on the first page in Google's video search results and in less than a week the video received over 350 views from the different video portals.

Are you taking advantage of video marketing for your listings?  If not you are missing out on Google exposure as well as exposure from the video portals.

How about creating localized videos about your county?  Creating a targeted video optimized around different cities in your county can be another way for you to dominate your local area.

Video is a big deal. I have not done this yet but I see it has a lot of value.

Just via podcasts for the past 4 years.  The picture pops up the same, but I have not tried pure video yet.  The great part is that these are spidered through the internet.  Just had a meeting today from a listing I had 2 years ago in which a podcast company did not delete the podcast.  Thanks for the error as I have a serious buyer on my hands........

Misty - With so many people out there looking for rentals today this is a really great way to get added exposure to the rental listings we have.

Kat - video is great for apartment communities because 1 apartment community video can be created and used for years.  You can then place the video in your online material when advertising an available unit.

Hi Bill - yes very true.  You demonstrate that well :)

Hello Donna - So true.  Added exposure is what will get your listing rented faster.

Thanks Rebecca! Most people are still not using video so the competitive space is small.  Creating a video and submitting it to the video portals with the correct keywords, gives your video a very good chance of making it to the top.

We've been doing "drive thru" videos of area neighborhoods and are completely elated with the amount of traffic the videos are getting.  THOUSANDS of hits!

Hi Tina - I love the concept of drive thru videos.  Thousands of hits?  Amazing!  I would love to see a few if you are willing to share some links to them.
