Hello ActiveRain community. We have just added a free click to call widget to ClassifiedFlyerAds.com. What is a click-to-call widget you ask? Well check out the red "Call Me" button on the right side of this blog. The click to call widget will allow visitors (buyers) to get in contact with you on your cell phone instantly. Get your own click to call widget from ClassifiedFlyerAds.com. After you login to your ClassifiedFlyerAds.com account go to "Create Widget" option and choose your desired widget button. See below for screen shot.
You will then be presented with HTML you can post into ActiveRain, your website or any other online page. Follow steps below to add your call button to ActiveRain.
- Copy the click to call html from the ClassifiedFlyerAds.com widget creation page
- Click the "My Settings" link from the left side of your ActiveRain blog.
- Paste the widget HTML in the Blog Description box. No need to remove your current blog description. Simply paste the widget snippet below or above your current description.
- Update the page and you should then be left with a nifty call widget on your blog.
Widget Benefits

That's pretty slick - gonna have to try it.
I need to update things. In order to get this widget I found that I need to sign up with Classified Flyer Ads. That wouldn't be a problem until I saw that even though free for signing up I would still need to put in credit card information and a tracking cookie would be placed on my computer.
Just an FYI for anyone interested in trying this. If I am wrong - please let me know.
Hello Matthew - this is not true
You do not need to input any credit card info.
You simply need to create an account on classifiedflyerads.com - login - go to create widgets and create your click-to-call widget. This is all free and we do not require you to input credit card info and we do not use tracking cookies for your personal info. We only use tracking for website stats such as pages visited, etc.
Misty - I found the following quotes on the "terms and condtions" and wondered what they meant
In order to gain use of the site (become a "user"), we require you to disclose the following information:
(full name, address, email, phone, business name for member signup, credit card number, credit card exp date and billing address in the payment form)
Our site utilizes cookies to collect information about how our site is used. Passive Information gathered may include the date and time of visits, the site pages viewed, time spent at our site, the sites visited just before and just after our site. If you do not wish to transmit "cookie" information about yourself, you may turn off the cookie function in your web browser; please consult the "Help" section of your browser to correctly do so.
credit card number, credit card exp date and billing address in the payment form is only required in the "payment form" and only if you are purchasing something. This is not required or even asked for in the member signup form. We do have website stats that do record visits, pages visited etc. Most websites have these types of website stats. We do not write out cookies with your payment information though and credit card is not required or even asked for when you register as a member or use our widgets.

Misty - I took a chance and signed up. It did not ask for credit card information and I have yet to see a cookie. You might suggest to your folk that they remove some of that language otherwise it may prevent folk from signing up.

Jose - yes it is free. After you login to ClassifiedFlyerAds.com - go to the "click-to-call" widget option and you will be able to create a free click-to-call widget.
Correct - calls made from the click to call button need to be routed to your cell phone.
